Too out of focus. Try getting closer to the ground and get the treetops also.

It sure does and that's why it's best to dress up nice and warm when you venture outside in weather like that. Your image does convey a feeling of silence but what detracts here is that everything is blurred and out of focus. 5

good: i can completely agree that cold places with snow give me a sense of silence. i like square crops myself. the reflection also give way to the reflection you do (verb) in a moment of silence. black and white also works well with snow and ice.

bad: ok this is just too dang blurry to me.

I really like the idea, but this is much to blurry/grainy... you could turn up the contrast a bit, as well...

This is a good concept and I like the reflection of the trees on the frozen pond/lake but the photo looks a little out of focus to me.

I can't seem to find the point of focus of this image. I feel there is too much foreground and the trees are then cropped out

Focus?

good idea, but could be made better at the level compositional and general.
