bad: i've been giving out several "it's too dark" comments lately, i'm beginning to wonder if it's my screen. anyway this looks a bit dark to me.

good: i love the light in the trees and the sharpness of them. the sky is nice. this wide crop works good here. i like the blue part of the border.

bad: i think the snow? is too blown. and the ultra-white border line conflicts with the white of the snow. overall the image seems a bit dark too.

good: i like the composition and solitary feel. the fog? gives a nice gradient and i like the look of the light through the tree. the desolate field with no other objects works great.

bad: not to much really. this is not an outstanding shot but i can't put a finger on it.

good: meets the challenge well. i love the muted colors for this type of cloudy shot. generally very nice composition. i know there not much to the sky but i like it a lot.

bad: well the most obvious thing is that first boat with the cropped off top. i think it really needed to be there. i think the whole picture needed a wider shot. other than that not much.

good: good rendering of challenge theme. i know what she wants. this is one of those shots that seems to break a few rules in a good way. also hard to put a finger on it, like the somewhat blown highlights and flat lighing. i also like the pink hue it has.

bad: like i said normally i wouldn't like the blown highlights like this but here i think it's ok. not much i don't like really. i started out thinking 6-7 but now i say 8.

good: definitely give sense of silence. i like the reflections, the dramatic sky and composition. i like the lighting of the boat and clarity of the whole image. actually quite nice.

good: i like the stark contrast. the silence is obvious. the blown sky works very well here. i think this would be risky entry but i like it.

bad: i know there are people that might have problems with this but this is my type of picture. so my opinion is probably irrelevant.

good: give it to them! i think after the initial ruckus there may be silence. nice capture of sparks and smoke. pretty well balanced image. clear and pretty sharp.

bad: i'd have to say that the lighting isn't that good. with the exception of the flash everything seems a little dark. I think you could have boosted the exposre/brightness a little to show some detail in the radio dial and knife handle. the sparks are blown anyway, i don't thing boosting the brightness would hurt.
