Psst... Not Me Him!by ElliottjmsComment: a bit overdone on the eye unfortunately... a bit of blur might have helped...
Aside from that, the first thing that popped into my mind was capturing a secret momement of intimacy and a guilty look of being 'caught'...
Still a decent capture. I'm quite surprised at the number of bear shots in this challenge. |

Dali's Ruler Collectionby banmornComment: A fantastic concept, but I do feel that the scrawled writing would have been better as a simple text.. Oh well.. Good idea! |

Big Vs Smallby photobuddyComment: Nice use of color contrasts. Colors seem a bit uncomfortable though...
The border doesn't seem to be quite right. I would have gone with a softer border, maybe with pinks and whites or reds or something...
Aside from that, it seems like there is nice depth.
An interesting aside, there is an expression in Chinese here in Taiwan called 'cao mei' meaning strawberry. It indicates that a person has a very thin skin and is ill suited to hard work or oppression of any sort.
It is in reference to the recent (last 30 years or so) upswing in the economy here which has led to a lot of very hard working parents with not very hard working children... such that they study so much they don't go outside and don't even like to walk or go out in the sun away from the a/c.
The older generation looks down on them and calls them a bunch of strawberries.
The expression is sometimes explained by referencing the difference between a strawberry and an apple (as it was in class yesterday). Message edited by author 2006-09-13 09:47:02. |
