Great. You made a very effective use of negative space. I usually don't like semi-transparent borders but this one great. The nice soft lighting from the left emphasizes the half of the face which is oriented to the center of the picture. The title is a perfect match, too. Nothing annoying here. 10. Good job.
Edit: Now that I've seen the other pics, I can say that I will eat a broomstick if you don't get the blue ribbon. Good luck.

Dude, how did you do this? I'm eager for voting to end to hear you explanations on this one. Great shot. The idea of wind is clear and well analyzed. The composition is fine, but I don't know what to think of the border. O well. 9.

The border is really really distracting and annoying. Otherwise it would have been a decent shot.

Weird. Looks like he was saying: 'Now who's the boss here?'. What a great close-up!

Such a lame title for such a beautiful picture! Didn't you notice your forgot to give it a name? That happens sometimes, many photographers submit their picture within the last minute. A nice title would have been 'Gliding Grace'. The crop is good, the focus is on the bird, the water surface frames it and its green aspect makes a nice contrast against the blueish feathers. Nice shot.

Funny. I see you understand how to move in the challenge's grey area. You should have used another light source. The direct flash creates shadows hich are to hard, and aggressive highlights. Also, you might have taken water as background. I hope this helps.

Did you think of the way buddhists pray when you took this picture? They write prayers on peaces of fabric. Each time the ribbon flaps, a prayer is sent to buddha.

You might have flipped the picture. That would have suggested a strong wind coming from below.

Nice picture. It clearly shows the effect of wind. But the jpeg artifacts really kill your submission. You compressed it too heavily. Check out the forums and the tutorials on how to save pictures for the web.

Nice picture. You might have considered the variation 'Wind. Waves. Wings.' of your title. It would have reflected the impact of your image.
