Simple Sissorsby jimmspComment: A bit too simple. Yes, it's mechanical, but it's just too easy, flat.
You might have shown the cissors in action.
Or in perspective.
Or a cissors' shadow cutting the background.
Or some weird mechanism that handles the cissors.
At least it's sharp and the background is pure white. 3. |

Yo Ho Hoby joebokComment: Interesting. Nice Background. The crop is a bit too high IMO. I'd have cropped it under the shadow of the uppermost sail. 7. |

A fine deviceby jjbeguinComment: Nice detail and lovely colours. Look really old and rusty. We might compare our entries after the challenge. I'll PM you. 8. |

A New Dayby photomComment: Nice. One of the few shots which shows the mechanics of a clock without opening it. I had to tell other who sent in a watch or clock that I don't like the way they want the viewer to anticipate the mechanics inside. You did a good job showing the pendulum in movement. 7. |

mechanics of motionby tazzaComment: The red colour is too vivid, and the metal elements are not visible enough. The link with the challenge is well chosen, though. 6. |

Simplicityby tyt2000Comment: Good use of negative space. I like the b&w and the shallow background. A bit too simple maybe. 6. |

Back to the Old Daysby TiberiusComment: he picture is too dark, there's not enough detail in the black surface. I know that's the way the camera is. You might have concentrated on the adjustment wheels and the shutter. 5. |

Clockwork Violetby BKerrComment: Nice title, but I see just the clock, not the clockwork. It doesn't really meet the challenge. 3. |

Baitcaster X-rayby pahlComment: Cool, how did you get an X-ray shot of this? There are no X-ray filters for cams, are there? I guess you work at an airport or something. I don't know what a baitcaster is but it looks cool.. The colours are kinda psychedelcic, but I like the orange blue-contrast. There's just too much 'empty' spae around the two (?) objects. 7. |
