To me, the colours here seem very flat, so I would have boosted the contrast a lot and/or used levels to darken it. I think it also needs USM at a small radius, maybe 120/0.4/0 as the settings?

Great macro, lots of detail which is nice and sharp! Not the most adventurous of shots, but technically well done at least. The yellow backdrop instead of the usual white is a good choice :)

A hidden stream...

It's a nice shot but I think it would benefit from being in B&W so we can concentrate on the stream and textures, rather than the fact that the top half is so much more vibrant colour-wise, which is the first thing that strikes me about the photo.

The pastel colours do compliment each other nicely, but the pink one seems to be the odd one out. Still, I think that works so that the photo has some kind of focal point :)

It seems a bit over sharpened to me, like the radius in USM was too large, but still a nice photo. I would have liked more space on the right to get a glimpse of what the photographers are taking pics of :)

The Shooters Of Slot Canyon

Amazing photo. Great change from all the other slot canyon photos I've seen out there, a new perspective. The beam of light is excellent, and the photographers right on the thirds line add a really good sense of scale. I don't think a slot canyon photo has ever won on DPC before... could this be the first? I wouldn't be surprised :) 10
