good picture, but does not meet challenge. relies on the title to make relation with challenge, which doesn't even establish a connection in my opinion. i also think the thickness of the inside grey border detracts from the photo. It is a good photo though, I don't think there's anything to change to make it better.

this is just an awesome photo, however i feel it doesn't meet the challenge. It relies solely on the title. I cant vote, but if i could id probly give it a 6 or 7, if it fit the challenge more i could give it a 9 or even 10. I really like this shot alot, and i could see why you'd wanna submit it. I might try a bit of a different angle though, to get the horizon either in the top 3rd or bottom 3rd of the photo, depending on waht seemed more interesting, ground or sky. thats just me though.

did u have the flash fire twice during the exposure? if you did i would say just rear curtain sync would be the way to go. That top foot although not as 'frozen' as the others makes this image a bit confusing. besides that though everything looks good, i cant vote, but if i could it give it a 7.

love the mood of this photo. i have taken a similar shot and it is one of my favorites. Seems like it could be a bit underexposed though? otherwise i like the compostion and negative space.

i like it with the island, it's so small I don't think it takes away from the image, yet it lends suggestion to the environment you are in.
