Looking backby heidaComment: An engaging shot. From the odd window to the expression on his face, this shot offers a lot of interest, though the eyes are always drawn right back to his face. The choice of coloring gives this shot a lot of impact, and makes it feel as though it were taken in the 50's. Good strong composition. The white "post" distracted me just the tiniest bit, but overall I think it is balanced by the darkness of the right side of the photo. |

From Inside The Fortby wayne9232Comment: A well composed and well lit shot, with the delightful unexpected element of the "leaning" building. A good balance of light and dark, and great use of the architectural elements available to you. One of my favs this week. |

Queen Victoria's Gardenby marboComment: A beautiful scene, but I have to say that the black and white stripes at the top are very distracting to me. My eyes are drawn to that constantly, and it diminishes the impact of the rest of the shot. |

Inspecting His Domainby jas0420Comment: Though I love your subject, and the concept, I really feel like I want to see much more of the subject and much less of the distracting elements of the shrubbery. |

Practice to Deceiveby crabappl3Comment: There is really nothing about this shot that I don't like. Composition, lighting, subject, choice of coloring, and concept work together for a wondefully visually appealing shot. One of my 10's this week. Congrats on this great work. |

Inside Looking Out by connieComment: Unbelievably adorable! This is a shot worthy of being a poster! Whether set-up or "accidental", this shot is fabulous. Everything (lighting, composition, subject) works well together and draws the eye right in to that puppy's face. Destined to be a fav for many, I am sure. |

Helloby anggComment: Quite an amazing shot, though I really don't get "inside looking out" from it. That being said; I like the composition of the shot, with the rope cutting across on a diagonal, and the wings of the dragonfly horizontal, as well as the fact that you caught the little guy with the light background to show him off. Sure wish I could get one to be still long enough for a shot like this! |

the stowawayby grigrigirlComment: Love the hand-tinted, colorized feel of this, and would very much like to know how you accomplished this. The espression on her face leaves me perplexed. A seriousness that looks out of place on a child - like she's seen too much in the world, (or is painfully resigned to being a "model" for mom or dad!) The concept of the photo is intriguing, and the overall feel is that it is a shot from another time. |

Aloneby birgirComment: The architectural element of the wonderful window is what brings this shot to life for me. I completely love the shot. Fits the challenge well, definitely does convey a feeling of aloneness (as in the title), but also simplicity, starkness and the beauty of old church architecture, something that I love. Choice of black and white is perfect for this, and I do love the composition. One of my highest rated this week. |

Beyond The Grottoby Faye PekasComment: Quite an interesting shot, though I would have loved to have seen it in color. My guess is that you did b&w because the color version was not quite spectacular though. I like the composition as well as the concept. Makes me think of one of those caves that eventually fills up with water at high tide. |
