Cool--very interesting that I got this picture, seeing as I have about a hundred very similar pics sitting on one of my discs right now! I really like this shot---I gave it an 8 during the challenge. The thing that I cannot come to terms with in my own shots--is where do you draw the line between art and just blur?!! :) I am having a really tough time with that. I have noticed that it is incredibly hard to get a good shot, especially with no flash, of band or runway fashion photography, with a digital camera. I have only just recently started trying these with digital, so I have not much advice to offer, but I would love to show you my links if you are interested. I wish I knew your camera settings! So, not knowing these---I would say this. You appear to have some fairly stong lighting---so you could stand to use a higher shutter speed---which would help out with the blur. A little blur is fine for sure, but I'm not really sure that this much helps out in this instance, since it takes so much away from his face. The black and white is perfect, it helps create a cool mood--and the framing is fairly good, although I know that trying to get a good capture of moving people is enough to try the patience of a saint! this really is a nice photo all in all---and it shows that you are more than on your way to figuring out the secrets to band photography! nice work!

This photo makes me imagine you standing in sort of a valley, watching the sunset over the mountains, when suddenly you start spinning, round and round, all the while taking pictures! One of the best things about this photo, I think, are the deep rich colors. Then the fact that they are graduated make it appealing as well as the framing---placing the sun in the lower right corner halps bring out the neat effect of the colors/blur in the rest of the pic. I can't really talk about the technicality, since i dont really know your settings, although i can mention that you did a good job of getting the stray sunbeams in focus! :) all in all it is a nice photo, it is just one of those that either will or will not appeal to the masses, but remember that it all of our votes are purely subjective! nice work!

this picture sets a nice mood! i like where you are going with it. compositionally, it is nice--i like the lines leading straight down from belly button, and across by the waist band, as well as the juxtaposition of the hands. i might have liked to have seen a little more skin up top...perhaps a more upwards shot of the torso to put the jeans towards the bottom part of the frame might have given it an even more sensuous feel. something about photographing human anatomy--one of the best parts is the lines and shadows the human body creates. so, a less tight crop and some dramatic lighting around the torso to bring out some interesting shadows would have been awesome. technically, you did a great job---the focus is great and the post processing is wonderful! personally, tho, i think that (only my opinion of course)the desaturated skin tone is kind of awkward here--i applaud the idea for this challenge, and it is a very cool effect, but it almost makes the photograph less appealing---i dunno, something about grey skin! ;) but even then, i think that with some interesting lighting, you could make it appealing! all in all you did a really nice job here, and obviously have great creativity. keep up the good work!

this is just gorgeous! im trying so hard to figure out what the bottom is made of...whatever it is, it makes this one of the best of these shots i have ever seen! the clarity of the drops and even the ripples is perfect. i wonder what it would have looked like with the drop a little less centered and backed up towards the left? no matter, tho, i love it! very nice work!
