Cool--very interesting that I got this picture, seeing as I have about a hundred very similar pics sitting on one of my discs right now! I really like this shot---I gave it an 8 during the challenge. The thing that I cannot come to terms with in my own shots--is where do you draw the line between art and just blur?!! :) I am having a really tough time with that. I have noticed that it is incredibly hard to get a good shot, especially with no flash, of band or runway fashion photography, with a digital camera. I have only just recently started trying these with digital, so I have not much advice to offer, but I would love to show you my links if you are interested. I wish I knew your camera settings! So, not knowing these---I would say this. You appear to have some fairly stong lighting---so you could stand to use a higher shutter speed---which would help out with the blur. A little blur is fine for sure, but I'm not really sure that this much helps out in this instance, since it takes so much away from his face. The black and white is perfect, it helps create a cool mood--and the framing is fairly good, although I know that trying to get a good capture of moving people is enough to try the patience of a saint! this really is a nice photo all in all---and it shows that you are more than on your way to figuring out the secrets to band photography! nice work!

Blur and motion are different things. Contrast between still and motion would have made this more interesting.

A little overexposed on the face, but captures the energy of the moment. Wish the singer's mouth was visible on the other side of the mic. I would crop from the right to where the shadow and cable meet the guitar neck, about the to singer's left shoulder, to bring more focus/attention to your subject, eliminating the head of the bass and the large distracting shadow on the back wall.

Good use of black and white. I would like to see a shot of just the drummer in motion though (only because I can see him back there) A great shot though!
