this is way cool, lee. when i first saw the thumb, i thought it had an eerie, sort of david lynch quality to it, i guess because of the dirt. like there might be little bugs crawling around in it or something. ah well, lynch is weird and apparently so am i! :) going in my favs.

ah the elusive blue note! so tough on a piano, at least for me! :) very crisp shot and technically well done lighting--which ironically is the only thing i might like to see done differently...when i think of blue note, i think of dark, smoky, velvety jazz/blues/swing clubs where the lighting is as cool and hip as the music. maybe a little more subtle, less even lighting would work for this shot as well--highlighting the 'blue note', but still giving a little more atmosphere. make sense? :) great idea, and very nicely done shot.

angels. :) beautiful photo, although the composition bothers me a bit, not sure why exactly. maybe i might have liked to see just a bit cropped off the bottom and right to focus a little more on those precious toes? i'm not sure. but still a wonderful shot, very nicely done.
p.s. this is the third time i have come back to this because the tones and contrasts are just so beautiful. 10, for the record.

this looks like a heida shot to me. :) so very cool, you can almost picture them flopping down after a long run on the beach. or something. :) at any rate, great shot, colors, tones and lighting are fantastic.
