Chuloby ajschelComment: I am no expert on grain and couldn't enter or vote on the members challenge but here is my $.02 (probably worth less).
Not sure if there is a big difference between grain and noise (I would think so). I look at the image and I see multi-colored noise, mind you it isn't a lot of colors but I see enough to say it is not just grain and others that voted may have thought the same.
It is a good picture with good detail and lighting, focus and DOF but also doesn't hold my interest for an extended amount of time. I vote higher on images that make me stop and look at the entire picture and really amaze me.
Sorry you didn't do as well as you hoped...this is the story of my life over and over again. :o) |

Chicagoby InnaNComment: Great catch, I was coming into town monday night and saw this and wished I could have taken a pictures from somewhere. I know where I'd like to take it from but have no idea how to get out there. Great image. |

Autumn in the Rocky Mountains. by jimsappComment: dude, congrats on the red. I will be back in FT. Collins in Novemeber for the weekend but I've heard most of the colors have already changed so I probably won't even go looking. While growing up we had a cabin outside of Fraiser and loved going into Winter Park for the ice festivals in the winter and craft fairs in the summer. You're really making me homesick with all the great Colorado images...but that's a good thing cause your images are exactly like I remember. Great job. |

Simple but lots of class. I like the contrast the yellow and blue cause. The leaf could maybe use a little less brightness but still really nice. |

On the most part this is a good image, your white balance is correct and the main subject is nicely in focus but the yellow light reflection on the base of statue is distracting and I think the background is too busy. Maybe a better depth of field would have blurred it enough to keep the attention on the statue. |

Wonderful image. Love all the colors and lighting and the sky adds an extra feel to it. Great subject. Wish that white thing wasn't on the right side but very minor issue. Wish I could give more points. |

good skin tones and kept the coat from blowing out too. Nice sharpness in all the right places. |
