First, It's colourful gets the voters eyes, and the selective focus anchors this it is not a bad picture BUT... Imho
1/ too much area on left is out of focus.

2/ I would have liked to see the whole glass and brush
3/all the oof area on right diverts the viewers attention.If you had shot this in portrait format I think your problems would be solved and you would have a real winner.
