Jailedby MelethiaComment: I actually am kind of with you on the nose being in focus part. It makes it look like she is poking her nose right out of your computer at you :)
Lately, I have been so bored with "rule" pictures and have wanted to daringly do things that just don't follow all the rigid rules. For me. . .this works!

Wateringby UrfaKComment: What an excellent story this tells. I love it! This is perfect in black and white. Yes, you got your mojo back -- if it was ever missing :)

week-4.jpgby LanndonKaneComment: I like it! It takes on a whole different meaning than just a truck. The processing makes it art in its own right aside from it being a truck (well, that kind of made sense to me even if to no one else).
The texture overlays definitely have their place. I think they may be a little over-used these days -- but it does in fact work great for this one :)

Escalator (Schiphol)by Bruce_the_RobertComment: Well, it's nice to see a silver lining to your misery. You got a wonderful photo (I haven't seen the rest yet, but I will). I love the processing with the grain, and the great contrast of whites and blacks. It has an abstract energy that is very appealing.

North Fork American Riverby jdannelsComment: This is great. I love the angle -- the sign looks so ominous and foreboding. Darn that you missed the guy jumping off -- that would have made for quite the cool touch to this already very cool photo!
I'm so excited that you are here doing this. I love your work so much, and intend to pay verrrry close attention to your editing techniques and composition ideas. :)

Daisy-0031by RedDotComComment: Red! Hi! A fellow San Antonian! I'm happy to have you here. A few of the other San Antonians have become life long friends of mine from this crazy wonderful site. And there's a couple from Austin that also hang out like family now :) Are you in the Air Force? Randolph? Verrrrrry cool! :)
This is beautiful. Perfect crispness. Perfect whites, blacks, grays. A lovely first week! |

Weee k 1by SonifoComment: Ohmygosh. . .the quality of this bw side challenged just stepped up a notch :) How awesome that you are here :)
What an incredible photo! I know they couldn't have planned how perfectly synchronized your back daughter's hands are with your front daughter's legs kicking up. The symmetry is so appealing. As is the great contrasts from the perfectly pure whites of the snow (without being blown out of course), and the grays and blacks. Not to mention the delightful smiles (are they twins? They look so much alike!)
Oh what a fun photo!!! 10
P.S. I LOVE the centered composition!
