I love pictures like this. There's something about the grunge and the light and shadows that make it so artistic and appealing.

I'm always in awe when people take ordinary things in their day and turn them into such interesting photography!

Week 8: Mysterious Mary

I looked at all 3 of these several times to see which one had the edge for my personal tastes. It was hard because they were all beautiful in their own way, but I think I like this one the best. The lighting seems to enhance the drama. It's beautiful.

This is so awesome! I could look at this forever. I think I would love to have this in a framed print covering an entire wall. I've never been to New York, but have always wanted to. Now. . .I HAVE TO! What amazing photography. I'm so impressed that there is not one blown out light -- and everything is beautifully in focus in such obvious low light.

Yes, she looks very comfortable in front of the camera. I think black and white works really well with this particular photo because of the texture and color of the tree bark contrasting with her skin tones. It seems like that might be less dramatic in color.

She probably loves this photo :)

I like it too! Its not overstated. You hardly notice that it is a selective desaturation because the pop fits so well with the photo. It looks like it belongs.

You got the whole range of pure blacks, pure whites and all the tones inbetween. Very nice!

Wow, Stan! What amazing photography! This is BEAUTIFUL! You have made your little ladies look oh-so-fine in their shiny poses. I used to have a friend who had an old old car like that (not as beautiful and fixed up as yours, but VERY cool looking). I so loved riding in that car. It was so heavy and made you feel like you were riding in a house :)

That is so interesting! Kind of abstract in that you have to study it a while to understand what it is -- but the great contrasts of color and textures look amazing. The composition is very strong as well.
