Oh Penny! This photo brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing it with us. I love LOVE how you processed this with the old-timey overlay. Somehow, it conveys years and years of togetherness that your relationship has enjoyed.

I'm so SO sorry you two are in the long process of good-bye. I've had to say good-bye to my mom too, and my heart is still so very tender in the part of my heart she will always hold. This very special photo touches that tender place in a powerful way.
