I once had a ribbon dq'd too -- for editing violations I was clueless about. But this is even more innocent than that! I know how painful that is!

You're right tho. HDR definitely takes away from this photo. I have often found the same thing to be true.
It is still a breathtaking scene -- no matter HOW you process it!
