You Don't Know Meby JuliBocComment: I really like this Julianne! I actually love the effect that was probably achieved by using your Sony P&S: the slight grain and nostalgic look. I think this is excellent street photography!

Basket Man - KR Market, Bangalore, Indiaby choltmeierComment: This is awesome, Chris! Look at those soulful eyes! Wow! I love your story. Thanks for sharing. Street Photography Nirvana is so correct! I'd think I'd died and gone to Heaven -- challenge or no -- I just love this type of photography. I think it is my favorite. You did so good! And again, I'm so glad you use "maverick" techniques in leaving them in color! It adds so much to the richness and street-beauty of the scene. |

The tourist and the localsby MelethiaComment: I love the drivel :) Stories behind the pictures make them so much more personal for the viewer. I love this! This is my kind of photography. I love the perspective of the large empty cobblestone street with only a very few people on it. And like you titled it, the tourist and the old couple going about their every-day routine.
You still own the Street Photography genre!

A quiet momentby IreneMComment: I don't know, Irene, I like it so much just like it is. . .but then, crabapple3 is certainly a more credible source than me, so I think we better listen to HIM. He made a suggestion on mine that I disagreed with too, but then thought maybe I better take heed :) Prob'ly would have ended up with a better score :)

Somewhere Over The Rainbowby ErinKirstenComment: Erin, this was one of my favorites in this challenge, and I have to go on record as saying I disagree with bvy about the over-saturation part. It's the bold, retro colors that make this in my opinion. I'm glad it did so well. Congratulations on 13th place!

Wasted Youthby MAKComment: Congratulations MAK! This is so deserving of front page honors. There were some really good ones on the front page, I wish there were more ribbons for this one. This deserves one!
