6.52 Wet day at marketby MelethiaComment: Don't you love those gray days for photography? You know how rare they are in Texas, but whenever we have one, I'm just dying to get my camera out and go shoot.
This is so wonderfully "Deb". Your street photography continues to awe and inspire. I love how the fact that she has her hand tucked up inside her sleeve gives you a sense of how cold she was feeling. I love all the soft blurry colors.

week-5.jpgby hyperfocalComment: Thanks for showing us the set up. Studio lighting still gives me the heebie jeebies. But seeing the effect it has sure makes me want to understand it better. This is great.

BracesSassy-1418.jpgby rjksteschComment: Rebecca, you are the Bomb! Braces at 53? I've always wanted to get braces, but the past few years, I've always said, "Oh why bother, I'm so old" :) I'd like to see a self-portrait for inspiration please???
Your portrait of Katie and her friend is adorable! What teenage joy radiates from this photo. |

PaW 2009 Week 6 - DC at 5:30 AMby marcbentonComment: Way to make lemonade out of insomnia lemons. I should try that sometime. I have insomnia big time, but I usually end up just tossing and turning, or getting up and doing mindless "stuff" on my computer. I think grabbing my camera and tripod would be a much more constructive use of the time.
Sometimes using that tripod and letting your hands feel all raw like they are bleeding is actually worth it. Your hands get warm really fast when its over, but then you have the crystal clear photo forever. I've had to do it in Colorado a few times, and I never regretted it :)

Just Browsing (6)by karmatComment: Oh man. . .if ever rules were meant to be broken, this is it. . .and lots of other times too. I personally think the "centered" rule is made much to much fuss over. There are aLOT of photos that look better centered. I break that rule all the time.
Loving ducks and geese like I do, this photo makes me so happy to look at. I want to be there connecting with them giving them flour tortillas like I do "my" geese every day :)
