MY MELBOURNE by hotpastaComment: Enzo, you really outdid yourself (which is saying ALOT) on this one. You have to be so proud of how this turned out. Congratulations on 2nd place! And 7.7+! Wow! Worth every single fraction of a point of it! |

Big City Loveby RompyComment: I LOVE IT!!!!! I think I may like it better without the faces showing. For me, had the faces been showing, it would have been too much of a personal portrait type of photo. Like this -- it is truly art and the emotion of the scene becomes the subject rather than any particular couple. I think you did really good, and I bet they LOVE their engagement photos if this is any indication of how the whole shoot went.

California Street, San Franciscoby jdannelsComment: What an amazing photo! I remember being so struck by the steep up and down streets in San Francisco, but I had forgotten just HOW up and down and steep they are. I'd hate to be a runner in San Francisco! But then, I guess those are the ones in the best shape in the world. Jeeeeez.

Hoverby owenComment: OhMY! This has to be one of the most fabulous bee photos I've ever seen. In flight! I bet I've taken 2,000 tries of bees in flight with my macro lens and all I get is a dull, blurry mess. Bravo!!! You could not have done better!

SHY PRINCESS : Sagkahan Slum, Philippinesby hotpastaComment: This is so so striking and beautiful, Enzo! You can really feel the connection between the photographer and his subject. A tribute to the dignity and warmth you gave this beautiful girl. God BLESS your work there! And please keep sharing your photos. This is the type of photography that I am the most passionate about. Your work goes way beyond just making a good score in a challenge where chances are, they were mostly looking for Iceland landscapes anyway :) Keep up the great work -- both photographically and Kingdom related!

Mr. Personalityby colorcarnivalComment: Oh Michelle!!! I have always had such a thing for Llamas. They are one of my favorite animals, but I don't think I have ever seen a photo of one that I liked better! This just ooozes with interest and personality. A PERFECT title! I think if it were me handing out ribbons. . .this one just may have very well gotten one! Its going straight to my favorites.

Togetherby tinky2Comment: Dawn, this is such an amazing photo! It looks like you had a very slow shutter speed to get that dreamy water and sand -- yet the birds are so amazingly crisp and sharp! I'm in awe! Congratulations!!!
I hope you have been doing great!! :)
Oh, and P.S.: I definitely agree with Citymars and not Teafran about the negative space thing. That's what makes this so striking is the minimalist effect of those birds in that sea of soft dreamy bokeh! |
