Mr. Personalityby colorcarnivalComment: Oh Michelle!!! I have always had such a thing for Llamas. They are one of my favorite animals, but I don't think I have ever seen a photo of one that I liked better! This just ooozes with interest and personality. A PERFECT title! I think if it were me handing out ribbons. . .this one just may have very well gotten one! Its going straight to my favorites.

Togetherby tinky2Comment: Dawn, this is such an amazing photo! It looks like you had a very slow shutter speed to get that dreamy water and sand -- yet the birds are so amazingly crisp and sharp! I'm in awe! Congratulations!!!
I hope you have been doing great!! :)
Oh, and P.S.: I definitely agree with Citymars and not Teafran about the negative space thing. That's what makes this so striking is the minimalist effect of those birds in that sea of soft dreamy bokeh! |

face-offby rozComment: I never cease to stare at your work in awe. I really didn't think it possible -- even from the best of the best -- to achieve detail like this. I know you guys are getting ready to go into autumn there. Will you still be able to find interesting bugs and things over the fall and winter? I sure hope so. Because you are my inspiration. I can't wait to get my macro lens and start practicing again. I'm not letting myself take pictures again tho until I finish some wedding photos that are 'bout to kill me.
Congratulations, Roz! And I know you've been on a quest to raise that overall average score received, so I am really excited for how close you are inching up towards an overall average of 6+ When you get there, let's celebrate, okay? Message edited by author 2009-04-09 13:28:56. |

Natures Hovercraftby AndyMac24Comment: I obsessively try to capture "the perfect" hummingbird photo. This is pretty darn close! I'm so encouraged that IF I ever get one good enough to enter into a challenge -- the good ones are still getting great scores. Congratulations on this one. And I think: 1 out of every 400 sounds about right :) But if they end up turning out like this -- it is well worth the bad ones :) CONGRATULATIONS!

Serendipityby JutildaComment: This is amazing. It looks like they are making an appearance from space -- which almost personifies them. I found myself staring at it for the longest time. |
