This is so beautiful! It almost looks like one of those infrared photos. It's so refreshing too to think that somewhere in the world, people are experiencing this cold beautiful winter wonderland. . .while here in Texas we are feeling like every time we walk outside, we're walking into an oven blast :)

I love your photos Petra :) The only suggestion I would make would be the "midday" thing. The first thing my photography mentor told me (and tells me OFTEN) is that the most important piece of camera equipment you will ever use is an alarm clock :) There's something about midday -- even on an overcast day -- that causes harsh light and shadows on photos.

And maybe I would crop your photos down a little so the subject is more prominent.

I love black swans so much! There were some in a nest by a little lake near my house and I was amazed at how protective and "hands on" the male was. He would sit on the nest and watch over the babies when the mom was off in the water doing her thing :)
