The closer crop is great and also that the baby has a bit more color. The image over all is very nice. One thing is that the focus seems a tad soft and not amount of sharpening can fix that. One the other hand, a soft focus here is totally appropriate and is a personal preference issue. To me, this image is stronger than the original since the subject takes up more of the frame. Good job.
