The Pianistby NovaTigerComment: This is a nice shot - however, there is not Pianist in sight in this shot, just a piano, so the title doesn't really fit. I like the reflections on the keys in particular. 5 |

I will stop photographing flags!by samtrundleComment: Originally posted by bear_music: What is it? Sky, building, and a hue-shifted concrete wall, is what it looks like.
Very nice.

You've got it in one. (I'm assuming your guess about my identity wasn't as spot on :P)
Just like to thank everyone who commented here - this is far and away my most sucessful shot here, and the feedback I've received has been really great. It's nice to see the irony wasn't lost on most :).
Considering some of the incredibly great work by some really terrific photogs in this challenge, I couldn't be happier with my placing.
Cheers

Not To Be So Depressive by sahkoComment: The gloomy feel and blue/grey/green cast here is wonderfully effective. Congratulations (okay so I just stumbled accross your portfolio during voting and saw your outtake for this shot - both are brilliant - apologies for thinking this might be Heida - she has a shot of a similar looking model in her port - not that being confused with Heida can really be seen as a negative :P) on what is probably the best image in this challenge.
Once again, great work! 10. |

Depressive II.by sahkoComment: Wow - this is an amazing image. Probably better than your new years resolution shot (admittedly it doesn't convey depressive as well).
Brilliant stuff! |

Backdoorby KylieComment: This image has a really interesting dreamy effect - not sure whether its the lighting or your processing, but it provides a great contrast with the grimy, industrial feel of the subject. Certainly a successful image. |

to find my balanceby grigrigirlComment: I like this a lot, the lighting is terrific - love the effect to the right of the figure (whatever the heck that is (looks almost like a motion blur/a zoom effect - which is tremendously effective here). I would like the focus on the face to be a little crisper but besides that this is great. 8. |

Walk Him Every Dayby KonadorComment: Well Mr Konador, this is one of the better Dog pictures I have ever seen. Seems like you just happened to take this shot, and decided to throw it into the challenge, rather than actually taking the shot specifically for the challenge. To combat that you probably should have shown the dog in such a way as to imply you were doing something with him - i.e walking him. Of course a shot like that would be almost impossible to make as aesthically pleasing as the above shot. Considering, then all this could be said for any number of the images in this challenge, I'm not going to hold that against you. 9. |

IMG_3487dpc.jpgby hstegComment: Where is this one taken ? It's too early for the Quebec city carnival isn't it ? Quite like the shot - though that wacky blur on the left is a little bizarre. |
