Precious Gemsby jpochardComment: you have most definitely achieved a bokeh effect, but it is rather busy. excellent job focusing and composing of your subjects. would have found the image stronger if the beads in the background were behind the subject and then to have cropped off the right 40% of the image. good luck! |

Portrait of a Cowby SammieComment: and a nice portrait it is, indeed. i think you would have had a stronger bokeh entry, though, without the other cows in the background. they are more of a distraction away from your subject than an enhancement that supports your subject. |

pawby redpandaComment: ay-yi-yi. great capture. not sure how i feel about its bokeh with regards to the background creating a feeling. for me, this image is all about the paw and the claw, and that is all that really gets my attention (well, that, and the two pieces of crud in the fur that you could have cloned out... ;-)). |

train spottingby LisaCanComment: interesting take on the challenge. i can't say that this is not bokeh, but it's not what i would have thought of. only your final score will tell you whether or not you were too far out of the box (and then it will be up to you to decide if you want to push the envelope or if you want to chase ribbons...) good luck! |
