Looking back at you!by Everyday ReneeComment: interesting processing on this image, i'm just not sure what you were after with the crop you chose. there just seems to be an awful lot of extra space around the eye. better luck with the other voters. 6 is the best i can do here. |

Secret Cabinby MontereykiddoComment: this looks to be an interesting image, but i'm not sure what to make of the cropping that you chose. the colors and textures look like they have a lot to offer, but somehow the composition you've presented seems imcomplete. hope you have better luck with the other voters, because 6 is the best i can do here. |

Susquehanna Fallby spydrComment: i usually pooh-pooh images where horizons split the middle, but to do so here would be laughable. what an incredible range of colors and light! stunning work! there is some beautiful countryside down around there, and i thank you for sharing this bit of it. and now, as i have nothing else to offer, i'll just sit and enjoy it for a moment, if you don't mind. good luck in the challenge! |

Summerby PhilosComment: beautiful image. wish you could have found an angle without such a centered composition. and, as i say that, i know that it is often easier said than done...so, forget what i said, and let's just enjoy the image! good luck in the challenge! |

IMG_7362small.jpgby maxjComment: greetings, max!
here's a couple tips on composition for you. 1) if you are going to center your subject, make sure that it is such an overwhelming subject that it says, "Yes, I am in the spotlight because I SHOULD BE!" anything less forceful should be quickly moved off-center. 2) work for contrast so that the eye doesn't get lost in blended details.
this looks like a good place to shoot year round. explore it from all angles until you find a couple of killer perspectives. make sure you find at least one perspective that will show off the tree as well as the sky.
good luck, keep shooting, and keep posting!
