Sexy Baby Disco Hot!by redmoonComment: what an interesting composition. i can't imagine this image doing well simply because it takes a fair amount of viewing time to realize that it really is under control and that it has a lot to offer. this is a real gem in the challenge, and i hope it is getting enough time from the viewers to be appreciated. please don't take it personally, if it gets overlooked in this huge challenge. thanks for sharing, and good luck! |

NO, you are driving me nuts! So, stop taking my picture!by MorganComment: this looks to be a most interesting subject. even though the flash is a bit strong, that is something that can be corrected in post-processing. compositionally, centered subjects don't do that well when there are too many competing elements in the background (the high contrast makes this a very busy background). i hope you're getting some good comments and suggestions, and that you're not getting overlooked in this monster challenge. if you aren't getting the scores and comments you expected, don't take it personally; just consider this a good starting point for the rest of the year. good luck is this and the coming challenges! |

paradiseby speaseComment: oh, how i'd rather be there than here! this looks like an incredible place to shoot, one that will offer endless possibilities. i am curious, though, at what you wanted to convey with this image? the canoe would make a nice subject, but it is not positioned to really be the subject. the background is gorgeous, but doesn't really support the subject. it's obvious that you have decent equipment and good processing software. maybe you just need to work on composing images that really grab viewers attention and give them reason to pause and stay? if you aren't getting the comments and scores you want out of this challenge, please don't take it personally. just consider it a good starting point for the rest of the year. just keep on shooting and submitting, and i am quite sure you will get where you want to be! good luck with this and the challenges yet to come! |

Grandma's Farm Revisted 20 Years Laterby annasenseComment: i wonder what this looked like 20 years ago? this really is an interesting image, and i hope it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge. it really takes time to view and appreciate an image such as this, and unfortunately, that doesn't always happen. i hope you are getting some good comments and suggestions. good luck with this and the challenges yet to come! |

A Duck in Bear Lake, Rocky Mountain National Parkby paganiniComment: wow, what an image. i hope that the viewers are giving this one enough time to take it in, and not just blowing by it. i think you might be hurt by the horizon so evenly splitting the image in half. the water is so still that everything seems to be running together. if the duck is actually the subject, you probably would have done better to compose in such a way to accentuate it, as opposed it being virtually hidden. good luck in this and the challenges yet to come! |

Egg-splosionby umbrisComment: what a wild image you've produced, and i'm sure that it was as much work as it was fun. i also think it is just a bit too busy, that the droplets in the background do more to distract than compliment your subject. the stop motion is great and the flying droplets are wonderful, but, as is, they are getting lost in the background. if this image doesn't wind up where you wanted it, don't take it personally. just think of this as a good starting point for the rest of the year. good luck here, and in the challenges to come! |

Newcastle Lighthouse at duskby tromacComment: this looks like an interesting place to shoot. i hope you're getting some good comments and suggestions, and not getting lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge. i'm not quite sure, but i have a feeling that you might be asking more of your camera than it is capable of; the far detail just isn't there. if this image isn't scoring where you wanted it to, please don't take it personally. just look at this as a starting point for the rest of the year! good luck in this and the coming challenges! |
