awww. this is a great shot. this is exactly the best way to use children in an image. it's just too damn bad you caught him looking out of the image rather than the other way! all the same, this is beautiful, and i hope you have this hanging somewhere so that it can be appreciated on a regular basis. good luck with this and the challenges yet to come!

this is beautiful, but a tad dark. don't know what i'd do any different, so i'm just going to sit back and enjoy it for what it is. thanks for sharing, and good luck!

oh boy, what a shot is this! unquestionably, you have captured a personality here. good work. i don't know how this will fare in the 'best of' challenge, but i really hope it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of this monster-sized challenge. good luck!

for some odd reason, i love this quirky image. maybe it's the composition. this really is a little gem in the challenge, and i hope it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of this monster-sized challenge. yes, there are some things that could be improved upon, but i wouldn't tinker with it--that would remove its charm. if this get the scores or comments you wanted, please don't take it personally. you're on the right track, and if you keep at it, you'll get to where you want to be. good luck on this and the challenges yet to come!

this is an interesting image. i like the way you framed it. i don't know if you noticed it, but the lighting in the background surrounding the girl on the left almost looks like she's smoking! no telling how this is going to do in the 'best of' challenge, but i do hope you are getting some good comments and suggestions, and not getting lost in the shuffle of this super-sized challenge. good luck!

most aptly titled! excellent capture. the only two suggestions i'd make would have been to have cropped off the right 40% and to have slightly burned in the hotspots on the frog. i suggest the cropping because placing him further to the right would have him facing into the image as opposed out of it (and the right part really isn't adding anything). what a great expression! i do hope this isn't getting lost in the shuffle of this super-sized challenge, and that it is getting the attention it deserves. good luck in this and the challenges yet to come!

what a great crate image! i hope this doesn't get overlooked, and that you get some good comments and suggestions. i think (and this is just my opinion), that if you had cropped it a bit tighter, it would have been much, much stronger; the really blurry bars are a major distraction. i'm thinking 10% off the bottom, 25% off the top, and 25% off the right. try it, and i think you'll be surprised at just how much more it pops out at you...

good luck in this and all the challenges yet to come!

interesting image. you've done a good job with the composition, and controlling the exposure. i hope that this is not getting overlooked, and that it is getting the attention it deserves. one note, on a technical aspect. if you are going to use a gaussian blur layer for the background, you may want to work with the feathering to reduce the slight halo-effect. even though it is only slightly noticeable. (and, if i'm wrong, please correct me!). good luck in this and the challenges to come!
