oh yeah, you got your photoshop down! most excellent work, popping out the image here. i really, really hope this does well for you, because i know how hard you worked to make this image happen. and, in all honesty, i don't think any score here will ever do this image justice. i just hope you have it printed large, and hanging somewhere prominent, giving it the attention it deserves. great work, all the way around!

ok, i'm really not quite sure what to make of this. there's nothing wrong with it technically (it's in focus, the exposure is under control, it has an appropriate dof). it is somewhat interesting compositionally, with all the lines, and the colors. there's just something i can't put my finger on. i guess it's just that even though images as this have their place here, and i do appreciate them, i just can't believe that this is the best image you produced last year. just with what i see here, i know you have the equipment, eye, and capability; that's why i just don't get it. i'm sorry if this sounds harsh, and i promise you, after this is over, if i can't find any indication that you could have picked a better entry, i'll start a thread and publicly apologize. it just seems to me that you have the ability to do very well here, and, unless you have some emotional attachment to this image, you entered the wrong one. good luck!

i think i've been here. isn't it on interstate 64, not to far from the va border? (you don't have to pm me an answer, just put it in your photog notes) this is a nice image that you've captured. though it's not the type of image that normally scores high, it does have its place here, and i thank you for sharing. you've done a good job with this, and it does stand out from the typical snapshot type images. i do hope it is getting the attention it deserves. good luck with this, and in the challenges yet to come!
