this is a nice shot, darren. you might consider going back and shooting it at f/22 with a long (20-30 second) exposure. you'll be surprised at how much more detail comes out in the brick work. also, at iso 100, there shouldn't be that much noise as to detract from the atmosphere the grain would add.

i've always liked this shot; in fact, i think it was this one that really triggered a lot of my city shooting.

the post processing is very interesting, and i hope to make use of it with some of my images. one thing i'm quite sure of is that this technique will not make a bad image good--you have to have a strong foundation image (like this) to begin with. great job!

nice shot, jon! it seems, though, that there is a missing element that could make it a more realistic image...maybe if there was a crane or something or something of that sort ;-)

excellent detail work; the clock tower appears to be showing about 8:40 pm...nice time for a stroll on the beach!
