Mirror Imageby DamianComment: sorry, but my initial reaction is that this is just too over-processed for my taste. it's fine as a piece of artwork, but as a photograph, it doesn't really reach me. i can't say if it's the blown out sky or how close to centered the horizon is, or if it's just the overall softness. i'm sure it was a wonderful moment to experience, and that your processing is right in line with what you envisioned creating when you snapped it, but, all the same, it doesn't flip me (probably the same way my blurry taxis don't appeal to my wife). but, i'm just one opinion, and, as long as you like it, nothing else really matters. |

Let's Play Frisbeeby hallswelComment: while this is very cute, it probably isn't the strongest image for a free-study challenge, where voters expect to be wowed. maybe a different perspective might have given the image more of an engaging dynamic, something to hold the viewer's interest. also, the large white disk really competes with the dog for visual attention. good luck! |

serenadeby heidaComment: love this very dynamic composition, but find the lighting just a hair too strong. |

Greenfieldsby justinbrookComment: very pleasant image. sometimes, images need to be seen as they are, simple landscapes as opposed to a picture of 'something'. i can appreciate it as it is, but, unfortunately, i know from experience that the voters prefer to see pictures of 'something'. good luck, thanks for sharing! |

While Watering the Lawn ...by LadeeMComment: i like the basic idea, but am a little undone by the flash. it looks like it could be an interesting shot to attempt. good luck! |

Liquid Lavaby fotodudeComment: i like the basic idea here, but would probably like it more if the focus was even through out, or if the focus was something of a gradient dof. as is, isolating on one area of the entire frame doesn't hold my interest. just my opinion, though. good luck! |

A Passing Momentby NinjaMomComment: this shot is loaded with potential. she's a doll, and the expression tells a story. i think you would have picked up a full point or two if you had cropped off down to halfway down her forehead and cropped off at least 40% off the right. the biggest thing going against the image was the time of day it was shot--that lighting is just too strong, and the background being so lit is competing unduly with your subject. a shame, because this really could have been a contender...
