Singularby sir_bazzComment: too bad about this being basic editing, because the lighting has definitely given you some issues to deal with. all the same, nice composition, nice effort. |

Shooting RAW???by CaitlynComment: perfect shot, stupid title. titles shouldn't matter, but they do round out the whole package. they give you a place to stretch yourself, which is good, when it's obvious you have the equipment, eye, and vision for creating interesting shots. do yourself a favor before your next submission and ask if your title is really the one you would want associated with a possible museum piece... i'm not voting you down for the title, i'm just pointing out that i wish you had spent some time thinking about it, especially considering that this is going to be seen by a lot of people. |

Red Bottlesby debapakaComment: some parts of this image are interesting to me, and some parts are annoying. i think my problem with it is that there is just too much of it. you could probably find any number of ways to cut this image down and still have enough to make it work. as is, the reds are just a bit over-powering. |

Winter Grassby linda12201Comment: technically, you got the job done, but compositionally/visually, it's a bit too busy. love the colors. hope you can get back out there and try a shot that is similar, but without as much going on. |

The beginning of day...by KitaComment: congratulations on your top 30 finish!
here's something to think about. on one hand, the softness adds a dreamy feel to your image. that can be good, especially if you have a real subject (like a person or a building). on the other hand, if the subject is the landscape itself, they typically look better a bit sharper.
i'm going to guess that you used a tripod. what you might want to experiment with is using the timer mode for shots like this. that way, you won't get the little blurring that the camera picks up when you click the shutter with your finger.
good luck, have fun! |
