	Vandals Hit Bird Community by jmritz Comment: not a chance, unless it is an unbelievably slow news day/week. nicely observed, but as for the challenge, nada. sure, it could be published in a nature magazine, but this is a real stretch for 'photojournalism'...

	Gas Crunch Prompts Serious Lifestyle Changes by alanfreed Comment: nice idea. a better photo would have been to have captured them coming towards you. publications prefer faces to rears, unless there's some compelling relevance to the overall composition. here, i don't see it (compositionally, that is). otherwise, this is a humorous take on a pretty hefty situation.

	E-71 wins again the World Championship of Windsurf by alexgarcia Comment: you're probably getting killed for the border. if not, you should be ;-) nice shot, but really should be cropped as tightly as possible. one of the key elements of PJ is to fill the frame with as much relevant content as possible; here, all that sky and water is wasted space.

	The Countries Most Beautiful Campuses by esdarby Comment: nice idea, but really shot at the wrong time of day. great composition and lovely colors, but the high sun is really blowing out the possible details and textures.

	Shot on assignment for a story about the Wampanoag Indians, the first settlers hereabouts by Bear_Music Comment: fine feature photo, but probably not what the typical dpc voter is looking for in this challenge. you'd probably have done better if you had gone and bout some police tape and created your own crime scene.
