i don't know why, but this shot just looks weird to me, almost like you pasted the gull in (but i know you didn't). maybe if it was a bit sharper, it would be easier for me to enjoy.

if you are going to get so far out of the box that people aren't sure how you're meeting the challenge, you really need to have an outstanding shot. sorry, but this isn't one of them. it's not that sharp, your horizon is off, and the composition doesn't really offer much.

you got the easy part of the swing...the challenge would have been to have stopped the motion at the point of impact. it's a beautiful shot, but as far as the challenge goes, i think you missed a real opportunity.

it doesn't really grab me. the subject is more an annoyance than a subject, like something that got in the way. it's not detailed enough to really lend itself to the challenge. love the rocks, though.

it's one thing to do this just for yourself, but, if you're doing it for a challenge, it had bettered be one of the best, most unique approaches to the cliche ever, if you want to score well...otherwise, your score will...plop ;-)

nice idea, but a bit boring. maybe if you had cropped in tighter and tried some different rotations? it also appears to have some jpg artifacting, as well (note: i'm giving this a place holder score of 3 just so i can find it when i look at it on another monitor. once i do that, i'll bump your score back up to where it was. i just want to check out the image quality first.)
