Apple Shotby accadyComment: like the colors, appreciate the effort. this is one of the better of its ilk. if you had been able to throw a little light from the bottom, it would even be better. |

Maxwell in the Skyby PhotoTessComment: nice idea. love the background sky. just wish you had composed it so that the man's arm didn't get lost in the boy. also, it could have been a wee bit sharper. |

A decision moment of "Hit" or "No Hit".by FocusPointComment: nice idea, but a bit soft. also, this really should have been cropped vertically so that the ball wouldn't be so hard to find. this is a nice perspective to shoot from; be wary, though, of your backgrounds. even though they are largely out of your control, do what you can to mitigate their impact. here, moving to the right of the ump and shooting from a higher perspective (maybe holding camera over your head and shooting down) would have removed most of the cars from the frame. |

Bad Boyby loriprophotoComment: nice idea, but a bit too soft. also, compositionally, it would have been stronger had you positioned yourself to shoot without the pole being so prominent. |

Summer's Hose Gameby BalkoComment: nice idea, but something about it just doesn't grab me. maybe it just needs a bit more water.
[also, it looks like you have a smudge at the top left of your lens] |

Mexican Jumping Beanby Blue MoonComment: nice idea, but a bit soft. tough lighting situation as well. this image definitely has its place, even though it's probably sitting mid-range for the challenge. |

Six Pack Skatingby raishComment: great subject, great idea. too bad you didn't enter one of him in air, above the can. also, a vertical crop would have taken out the unnecessary background at the right of the frame. |

Rusty Wineby Jason_CrossComment: it's highly unfortunate, but the muted background robs this image of life, for me, anyway. technically, it's an excellent shot, spot on for the challenge, but compositionally, it just doesn't grab me. maybe a tighter crop and a brighter, more contrasty background would have made it pop. |
