First off, I think your shot is a bit dark to be well received. It is an interesting subject and well suited for the challenge.

Something I think this subject would be good for is a stereoscopic image. Look at Labuda's profile...he's got some examples. It could be fun to mess with.

Sure, ruin the chances of winning for the rest of us. Normally I try to say something constructive about each photo I comment on instead of saying crap like 'Nice Photo' or 'Cool' or 'My mother has the exact same motorcycle', but in this case, I am either too tired to come up with a comment or too cynical. Regardless, I guess I can wish you and your white shirt good luck...but why spoil this comment now?

I'm not 100% sure what it is that I am looking at, but I like it. Based on your title, I can see the cup, and I guess the ring is a magnifying glass or something that refracts the light. Cool shot.

I really like this shot a lot, but it's hard for me to say why. It almost looks like a before & after shot from a magazine. I think the tonal quality, the contrast, and detail all make this a good shot for me.

The lighting here could be better. Perhaps mulitple lights, or if you wanted window light, a different time of day. Basically, the photo is darker than I feel it should be.

Well executed close-up/macro. The subject is really interesting and beautiful. The image seems to have a blue-ish cast but it is a minor distraction. Of course, I wasn't there, so maybe this is how it looks. Good job and good luck.
