Great photo, great exposure, powerful image. those are the good things.

The bad thing is that the soft focus of the back half of the picture does not "add" to the photo. I do love the shot, but not as a soft focus entry. it is a 5 here, but totally sharp from front to back and in a free study or something it would be an 8.

I fail to see how the soft focus of the nurse in the background adds to the photo.

If I was a parent I am sure I would not be affected as much by the "ick" factor of this shot.

Congrats to the new parents though, I hope your child has a happy and full life. :)

The majority of this flower is in perfect focus, just a little bit of it is soft. It appears to be underexposed or that the shadow/highlight tool was used to pull the hightlights down too much.

I do like the composition and the flower though. :)
