He Loves Me, He Loves Me Notby KrystleComment: Portaying a universal sentiment. Wouldn't we all like to know for sure? Lol
Would you hate me for a cririque? Okay, you have the good ideas. This, after all, is a very good concept. Even your selection of a blue flowers is a wise one along with the bedspread which serves a backdrop that does not interfere. We now have concept, a main backdrop, a good flower and nice dress and hairdo. Now, what do we want the viewers to see? We begin by simplification, lets us have the viewer see our head, shoulders and flowers. Everything else we find a way to eliminate. We can try to spread the bedspread all the way across even try pining it to the wall. Even raising the camera angle to concentrate more on the subject and leaving out any other clutter. It may be that you have no tripod but here one one come in handy to get the height you need, even if you have to prop it on boxes.
So you see, once you get the idea or vision for your image begin seeing it by asking yourself what is and is not important and why show anything that may detract the viewer. You have the talent, you just need to polish the presentation and this will come sooner than you think if you contemplate on it. I will give you a seven for you good concept effort. Any questions, please write me. Dan |

Self Portraitby RudyC310Comment: Very nice character study. The hands on the head and the squinted glance speak of a search for some answer. A problem to be solved. Happy solution. Nice b/w capture. Bump. |
