Haunting Absenceby tyt2000Comment: This images is great. A high ceiling, gown like curtains with backlight, in this case, outside light. The tones are just smooth. Many amateurs fail with this image because they forget the importance of holding the camera's sensor parallel to the wall. It has a much classier feel then Hotel California. While this image is a great mood setter, it gives the viewer no distinct sense of texture. It is beautiful and leaving a lot to the imagination. Bumping up to 7 |

Solitudeby p_johnsComment: The big breast panorama. This is intriguing but the vermillion- orange poses an immeduate sense of incongruity. Is this smoke rather than clouds? Because if this orange formation is at the same level as the clouds of blue-grey sky then this can not be. For example, the transition never goes from vermillion to deep royal blue while the clouds are within close proximity. Of course fog rising can do this because it is on a differemnt plane. Another mystery is the pure yellow and cyan on the bottom right.
Certainly a strong image with the silhouette and while I will blame the pure yellow and cyan to a ps color shift, I will give the artist the benefit of the doubt about the vermillion coiuds. Bumping up. |

Aloft by BradComment: This is an image with that rustic feel of the deep blue seas. The angle brings to mind those pirate movues where the music thunders as the camera is raised. The sky here proved very opportuned to give it that grit and sense of great expanse. I adore sepia and this subject lends itself for the overall effect. Great angle. You have my 8 |

hole 12, par 4by willemComment: A beautiful image with this giamt tree as the subject and the human evidence to give a sense of size. This is great. The sky is simply fabulous. Yes, the title indicates a golf course, seems such beauty should never be made available to any sport. Bumping up two notches. |

My Shoeby aznymComment: A rather in your face study with great line movement to invite a second look. The colors are very pungent but well harmonized. The shoelace gives it the ballast needed to accompdate the angle. Very well composed. Super 7 |

Night Torchby crabappl3Comment: Very nice and dramatic with great warm colors against the hint of blue sky. However, something is lost because we are left more with the play of light and dark to paint an effect rather than an image because detail is not available. I would consider, my taste, to capture the flame partly covered rather than fully exposed and allowing a sheer zone 10 display. Again, the image has a moving effect because it conveys activity in the night and it is more a colorful pleasing effect to move the imagination. Bumping up one notch. |

First Lightby autoolComment: A very nice image and great composition. My only complain are the transitional shades which appear pastel magenta and then pastel cyan. This shift affected the greenery. Outside of this, the image has breath, great reflections and the water in the foreground is just grand. Bumping to 6 |

"Back" Cover Girlby DougPazComment: returning for comments.
This is simply hilarious and a very clever juxtaposition. I would have changed the top because of its ribbed effect in this casual position. That is, the ribs then fall into furroughs. But hey, all is not lost because the smart idea of the magazine carries the great interest. Bumping again to 7 |

Curves n' Linesby dinnComment: great capture and while I would have loved more clarity, the swirl effect carries me. A great visual and confortable to look at because of its hidden pattern of the human eye. Bumping up. |
