A Tribute to the Legend 1902-1984by GringoComment: A very nice piece of terrain. Apparant at once is evidence of the 1 and 10th zone, however, the image remains trapped between the 1 and 5th zones and then jumps to the 9th. A case where the high contrast has trashed the nobler tones to make the image shine. The place remains beautiful enough for another bump in the score. Message edited by author 2005-03-14 00:15:02. |

Railway Bridgeby shutterphunkComment: While this image inhibits many of the zonal tones it does it with great style and flair We see zone 1 in the darkest and closest mountains along with branches, then the 2 and 3rd zones in the greenery following immediayely and then it fades into the 9+zone as the distance is covered. The water fills in the 3,4 5 and a kiss of the 8 as it approaches towards the viewer. A comfortable image to look at Bumping to 8 |

Bridge to the skyby arpitaComment: Sheer simplicity in presentation. An image that that disappears onto the first zone without reason. The highlights appear pushed. Then, there is the artistic way of looking at it and here lies the big improvement. from an artistic point of view the image has charm and holds great interest. However, under this judgement we do not care if it was shot at 4 or 7 O'clock. Gets a bump on good composition. |

Nevada Desert 2005by tfarrell23Comment: Very nice and neat but the tonal values appear compressed. The image begins to attract as the eyes rise. The water has a listless look. However, there is beauty because of its expanse. Bumping up. |

Tree in Springby Rook3000Comment: A very difficult image to capture. less noise would have been better. Bumping up on good composition and great sky. |

Winter Wonderlandby timmotykaComment: This could have been made stronger by exposing more for the 7th zone. As is, a lot of high values are lost. Regardless, it is an interesting study. Bumping up. |
