Let's Sit Down and Talkby ccaseyComment: It appears you took care in your desaturation treatment of this image. There is a spot behind the woman that you missed however. I think the larger issue is your choice of desaturation. Does it enhance the message or overall feel you are trying to convey? Or is it merely an exercise for the sake of doing it? In any event, I feel that a better choice would have been to reverse the desaturation so that your subject becomes the highlight. |

Anticipationby ellamayComment: He appears too aggressive and she appears too timid. I think the appeal of this photograph is in those facial expressions. Nicely captured.
Colors could have been boosted a bit to enhances the skin tones and clothing. While I'm not a big fan of oversaturated colors, this one appears a bit flat. |

Smile for Daddyby GautiComment: The desaturation treatment was tastefully executed and enhances the mist off the surface of the water. Nicely captured. |

this Mall is my homeby coolharComment: The expression on his face appears to be sad, despirited, broken. The oblique rear view was a good choice in really presenting this unfortunate scene effectively. The appeal of this photograph for me is in the way you really nailed the moment. Nice. |

A Quiet Momentby mariomelComment: Lovely soft focus, and rich colors. Great framing with the prominent tree ornament within view. |

Homelessby sfarrell23Comment: Great capture. Not sure if I would have the courage to attempt this shot. :-)
I like the expression on his face and it adds a lot of interest to the composition. |

Native Indian Dancerby jonpinkComment: The sharp differential in saturation between the subject's headgear and the rest of the image makes for a very surreal feel in this capture. I wish this man was in a different setting other than what appears to be a coarse concrete wall. It almost seems a composite of two pictures (the man and the wall) in the sense that you have so much fine detail within the feathers and the figure, but extremely coarse details on the wall which appears to be taken at a different focal length (zoomed in or shot closer to wall). Still a good capture and well presented. |

Sloppy Kissesby KDOComment: Composed very well with the choice of framing and black backdrop. Timing just perfect with the chihuahua's sloppy tongue in full extension. If I were to nitpick, I'd say that the midtones are a bit flat evidenced by the uniformity of tonal range on the subject's face and hand. No big deal overall and still a great capture. Well done. |

Or Just a Smile if Nothing Elseby stragsComment: Selective desaturation choice works effectively here as your DOF was quite broad and thus the desat helps to isolate your main subject. This entry is particularly effective in meeting the challenge as there is an interesting story within as well as good overall photographic integrity. If anything, the overall exposure is a bit murky but in this setting works to enhance the flavor of the moment. Well done. |

On the moveby nolockComment: Quite a unique take on this challenge. Love the motion blur in sharp contrast with the figures in the side view mirror. The distinction is very effective, I think. With the oncoming motorcycle within the frame as well makes for great timing.
I like your border and it complements the vehicle. Overall a nice capture. |
