Zoom Zoom Zoomby SAhmed1022Comment: Shafaq, Thanks for your comment on my beach entry. This is a really cool take on the lines challenge. I really like the abstractness and light running through the photo. Abstracts can have a hard time scoring well on this site but this is well done. My only suggestion maybe to try a crop that allows the user to see more of the photo, i.e. have a longer vertical, so the photo doesn't feel so small. but thats just a personal preference. Thanks again for your comment.

canna leafby shaundpComment: Shaun, thanks for your comment on my beach entry I thought I would return the comment to you. This is a nice macro, but I wish it was larger. I would look at this link, its a tutorial to try and get your photo to the max allowable limits. I notice alot of times photos get marked down for being too small without regard for how well the photo is done. I really like the colors and exposure of this shot too. Thanks again, joe. |

Generationsby ZoomdakComment: Thomas, thanks for your comment on my on the beach entry and thought I would give you a comment back. This is a great shot and congrats on your top ten finish. Hard to find too much to critique on this imagem the only thing I would have like to seen is the foreground be a bit brighter, but thats just personal taste. THanks for your comment again and this is a really nice shot.

Fallen Giantsby FastexposureComment: Joshua, thanks for your comment on my on the beach entry and I thoght I would return the comment. This is a cool shot I love the fallen trees and I went to school in San Luis Obispo so its nice to see something taken close to there. I really like like your attempt to match the smoothness of the water to the tree. But my tow things I might try to change would be to be closer to the tree since it is alittle hard to see how smooth the tree is. The second is that the photo appears alittle cool and wish the photo had more tints of red and magentas. That is only my opinion though and you can take it if you would like. THanks again for your comment and way to have such a high finish.

Into The Vortexby EvaanComment: Evaan, thanks for your comment on my beach challenge and and I thought I would return the comment. This is a cool abstract and the only thing I can really think of to make it better for me was that if the photo was just alittle bit brighter, otherwise it a nice abstract, thanks again.

Sew Whatby atupdateComment: Tim, Welcome to DPC and a great first entry, very creative. I wanted to thank you for your comment on my on the beach entry and return the comment. This is really cool and an awesome finish for your first entry. I can only think of one thing to change, and it really has nothing to do with the photo, just with the size of the photo. Although you havea photo that is 640 px, the file size is only 92 kb instead of closer to the 150 kb max. It may be at 100% with so much black, but it is something to watch out for as it will help keep small details less jaggedy. Really a greay first entry, thanks again.

view from belowby diner24Comment: A W, thanks for your comment in my beach entry and am giving a comment in return. I tihnk this photo is great, I live the colr and the lines too. The only suggestion I could think of would be to shoot as wide as possible and from as low an angle as possibe to exagerrate the lines even more, just a suggestion, thanks again for the comment.

Turn Leftby hideoutComment: Heidi, thanks for my comment on my beach entry, I thought I would return the comment. This a good example of lines and really enjoy the color and the contrast between manmade lines in a nature setting. My main suggestion would be to shoot from a really low angle so that the lines are much more emphasized and exagerrated. Other than that I think it is great. thanks again for your comment.

Washed Upby wildirisComment: Ingrid,
Thanks for the comment on my on the beach entry I thoguth I would give you one also.
This is a cool shot, I really like the ocean spray you captured. My only suggestion would be to maybe have shot at a wider angle and used the rule of thirds to place the trap. I thin you did a really good job of actually finding something at the beach. Thans again for the comment.
