Try this tutorial, your image size is 640 pixels, but you file size is only 74 kb and could be up 15o kb. This would smooth the thedges of your photo.

The photo is a little blurry and I find the right corner distracting. I know cat shots get hit hard around here. Maybe try playing with the cat in an area without distracting elements and get a tighter crop. Maybe try playing with the toy just off camera to try and get a shot of the cat looking interested with out seeing the toy. Just my opinion, I hope you found it somewhat helpful

I like the shot and perspective, I may try some more contras, a higher stop and lower ISO to help with the noise, especially if you have access to a tripod. i thnk have a large depth of field would help the viewer get lost in the spots.

Try this tutorial . It will show how to get images ready for challenges, namely at the full file size and and image size. Many photos get mrked down not on the quality of the photo but how it is presented.
