the color in the sky is a gret hue of blue and balances well with the foreground. I wish the whole tree was in the frame, but just a small nitpick.

How I haven't commented on this I have no idea, or I can't find it in the comments. This has been in my favorites for a long time, I think this is one of the best challenge entries I have come across since I have been here and fit the challenge to the tee. It is a wonderful shot.

the selective desaturation is almost not noticed, but really helps you focus on the line i the image and the fisherman is just alittle icing on the cake.

yeah umm, I gonna have to say this completely amazing, did you use fill flash to freeze the bird like that? no matter however it was done, the effect is spectacular.
