20080129_snowday_3945-Edit.jpgby optionComment: that looks treacherous, I see why they shut down the city! :P
Actually today was the first day I woke up with snow on the ground outside my house. I just moved and it was gone by 4 in the afternoon, but still, I feel your pain. :D |

Pop-Goose.jpgby APComment: This is a sweet use of wide angle, I love how the clouds frame him in the background. I only wish it was a little bit brighter. But it is really cool shot. |

The River - monoby dainmcgowanComment: I love how the reflection of the bridge in the water does not miss a beat as the boat the picks up the same shape as the reflection keeping the image moving. The hard dark contrast works for me. |

Wateringby UrfaKComment: I really like the light the way it glistens off his head and brings out the drops, its like you get all the effects of contre jour with out the glare. It reminds me of a world trapped off from the modern by a brick wall.
A little PP tip to make rain drops really pop out. Copy the image then do a high pass filter at 10 pixels. Filter->Other->High Pass. Then set that layer to hard light and it sharpens the drops. You can mask out the parts you don't want affected. Hope this helps |
