The splash of an apple by LalliSigComment: Hi Iarus. Loved your response to the person who did not like water shots. You are a gracious person and obviously self-confident and easy-going. Good for you. Your photograph was wonderful and deserved to win the ribbon. I congratulate you. As a "one shot wonder" - at least so far - I hope you will win many more ribbons. I won one on the second challenge I entered and haven't won one since. ;-) Ah well. But we all keep doing this because we love it and it is fun. And the challenge helps focus our photography on new unexplored topics and to stretch our boundaries. To me that is what you did when you tried the splash shot. And it worked very well. The clear focus and bright colors worked perfectly. Keep up the good work. Regards, Ann |

Predetonationby sbellequeComment: The extreme lack of focus here makes this unfathomable. I do see light but do not know what you found interesting with this subject. Not sure what you had in mind here but it didn't work for me. This is why I gave you a 3 rating. |

A la Francis Bacon ... Sans Cubeby RKTComment: Sorry but to me this is a jumble of out of focus shapes. I'm not sure what you were aiming at here but it did not work for me. This is why I gave you a 3 rating. |

Beautiful Gaze by Window Lightby MontereykiddoComment: This is a beautiful portrait and the lighting is just right. Still to me it does not fit the theme of the challenge. As in all photographs light is part of the image but I don't find that light itself is a subject in this image. I'm still giving it a 6 because I like it so much but would have given a higher rating if I felt it fit the challenge. |

Coming Throughby HRoxasComment: Cool shaft of light and interesting colors. Where does the green glow come from? |

Orange Crystal Lightby joyinlightComment: This is an interesting idea and a striking pattern of light and shape. What doesn't work for me is that so little of it is in focus. This same image in sharp focus would be dynamite. |
