the peppers look almost metallic.. nice colors, but it makes the image look unreal, especially the red one, it just doesnt fit somehow. the hat is lovely and the texture is really nice.

here is what this shot needs. focus: the focus is slightly on the back petals with the foreground blurred, in A mode open up your f/stop to get the rest of the flower in focus. border: distracting and should be white (if any). detail/sharpness: nothing in the photo is really sharp and detailed, have a look at the yellow ribbon winner for Triptych (front page of dpc), thats how a flower shot should look.. good luck :)

a nice bird photo, but since this is expert editing you should have taken advantage of that and cloned out the blemish in the topleft portion of the image and brightened up the background, even changed the hue a bit to compliment the bird's coloring.. beautiful bird shot :)

The yellow one

i saw the yellow tulip and went awwww how pretty, then my eye traveled down the stem right to that border.. thats an unusual color, i dont think it compliments the image at all.. 9 without border.
