Aidanby timfythetooComment: A good example of how important shadows are for seeing the 3-D shape of the face in a 2-D medium. Good work on the lighting!

Lol... I'm sure that's exactly what they were thinking. It was the very last shot. I told them I *had* to get something with snow in the image so that they could remember how COLD IT WAS today! |

2 Girls, Boy, Doorby lovethelightComment: I like this one a lot. The B&W processing was done very well. I like the expansive white space too... it forces you to look at the people. |

Looking Upby lovethelightComment: It's what his shadow is doing that makes this one intriguing for me. If you had cropped the shadow out, I would find this piece much less interesting because I really can't tell what the guy is doing.
Haha... I just read your description. Yeah, I kinda thought he was standing there taking a pee. lol |

steph.jpgby lissylouComment: Nice. I'd crop the top off. The eye tends to go to the brightest parts of the image first ... and in this case, there's nothing to look at there. So just crop it. Maybe a tiny bit off the bottom to ... make the image "personal". :-)

sepiasteph.jpgby lissylouComment: Sorry, I'm not digging this one. The sun light was just too harsh ... both on her face as well as on the background. And that blur distracts more than helps. You definitely want to focus on the face... but not by making it look forced. Lead the eye into the center, don't shove it.

dpsteph.jpgby lissylouComment: Pretty eyes. Slightly sharper focus on the eyes would just be perfect.
I think I might crop into the forehead ... cropping off the stray hairs at the top. |
