I had an image with her looking at the camera. I didn't find it nearly as compelling. The look off in the distance added intrigue to the image that the look at the camera missed.

The skin is still pretty smoothed her, but I like this image better than the other two that I have commented on (about skin smoothing) this far. I think the difference between this and the others, is that I can readily discern her nose. The lips are still a little weak in definition, but that could also partly be blamed on lipstick color.

Haha... I was waiting for Jac to NOT say "what stands out" to him in this picture. ANYWAY...

I think it would help to try to balance the light. The sky is being blown in order to have sufficient light on the model's face. A reflector or a really close flash would help. If you go the flash route ... it will look best if you can keep the flash off camera (off to the side of the model).

Same comment on skin smoothing. It just feels weird to see so much detail in the hair, and no detail in the skin. It's like your mind tries to solve the puzzle of "what's wrong with this picture", it's either soft focus or it's not.
