Tiger Lilyby BMacDComment: Love, love, love the color scheme! (including the coordinated border) Lighting is good - could possibly be even better, but still getting high marks from me. :-) |

Mourners flowersby LimboComment: The image is just too busy ... too much to look at with nothing for your eyes to really land on. Zoom in / simplify / look either for a strong subject or a strong pattern without a subject.
The selective desat is interesting ... but not too useful in that it's so small it's almost unnoticeable at a quick glance. But at least it does force the gaze upon the flowers rather than the grass. |

How Sweet It Isby PhotoRynoComment: For me, the colors just aren't right "together". I think a little playing around with the "hue" part of the hue/sat adjustment might result in a little more pleasing color scheme. Also, I recommend using the History Brush after applying USM so that you can undo the parts that become too sharpened - like the antenae and the edge of the butterfly wing.
Other than that ... love the idea. I swear I hardly ever see butterflies any more (I remember seeing so many in my childhood, I wonder where they've gone?). Also, the shallow DOF works well here. |

Delicateby LalliSigComment: Love the idea... I think it would have been a little more effective if the top petals were standing up and visible rather than edge-on. I'm undecided if the eyebrows should be visible or not ... you'd have to play with just how high up the top petals should go.
In any case, I love the color scheme (red/green) and the model is just gorgeous with those pretty blue eyes and soft skin. Lighting is excellent giving highlights in the eyes and on the lips with a nice soft lighting on the cheeks. Well done. |

Mother Natureby idnicComment: Overall, I like the idea ... except for the flower in her mouth, that one just disturbs me. (who knows, maybe a flower tried to suffocate me as a child and I still haven't gotten over it) |

Shelterby wavelengthComment: Great colors. Love the sharp detail in the center of the flower and the soft background behind it. |
